The very famous TimeOut Magazine has opened its Food Market almost everywhere around the world. And luckily we have it now here in Dubai as well.
Where is it?
It is located in Souk Al Bahr, Downtown Dubai.
How would I define Timeout Market?
In simple words, I would like to call it a modernized Food Court. Because, it’s a walkthrough, where you grab a table, order food using their Application, else visit the restaurant’s counter and get your food ready in no time. Or if the food is taking little time, you will get a buzzer .
What type of food they serve?
Every restaurant has listed their best dishes in the menu, and TimeOut Market has got restaurants that bring in flavors from the world.
You will get indian, japanese, vietnamese, American, Chinese, Arabic, Lebanese and many other beautiful flavors. It is not only good for non-veg but it’s a food hub for vegetarians as well.
Better get the table first, before ordering your food. Because it is always crowded and a very busy place.
Which Restaurants have they got?
They have around 20+ restaurants, listing some that I tried,
1. Folly’s workshop
2. Little Erth
3. Masti
4. Pickl
5. The Mattar Farm
6. Al fanar
7. Reif
8. Vietnamese foodies
9. Scoopi
And many more, visit their website to get the complete list of the restaurants.
When to visit?
Visit on a weekday or on weekends when its not lunchtime or dinner time, so that you get the table soon. As it’s a busy place.
But i assure you, no matter how much busy this place is, the food service is very quick and timely. You will get freshly cooked food.
They dont have reservations. So first grab a table and then order your food. Don’t forget to follow the SOPs, and make sure you have your credit card in your wallet 😜
So all you Foodies out there, this place is for you. For more information, visit the website and once you’re there, i need you to write to me your experience.
Suji ka Halwa (aka Semolina Dessert) is a common and beloved dessert in Pakistan. This version however has a bit of a twist to it, which is not like the usual Suji ka Halwa. Give it a go for this Eid and please do share your thoughts about this style of Suji Halwa and tell us what you think. Read more for recipe and method.
Ingredients:
1. Semolina – 2 cups
2. Sugar – 2 cups
3. Crushed Almonds – 1 cup
4. Butter / pure butter ghee – 6 tbsp
5. Water – 600 ml (to be added in 8-10 portions)
6. Milk powder – 4 tbsp (dissolve in water to make thick paste)
7. Chopped pistachios and silver leaf for garnishing and decoration.
Method:
1. Make sugar syrup, using 2 cups sugar and by adding 1/4 cup water. Keep aside.
2. Take a pan and add semolina and butter. Cook it till semolina turns Golden brown in color.
3. Now add sugar syrup and cook for sometime.
4. Pour 1/4 cup water in semolina, stir well and cook for some more time.
5. We will keep on adding 1/4 cup water, till semolina is smooth. Dont add too much water at one time, this will make semolina to absord too much water and it will be soft soon.
6. Add water so that semolina becomes tender and not soft. Once semolina is tender, stop adding water.
7. Now add milk powder mixture, stir well and dish out the dessert.
8. Garnish with chopped pistachios and silver leaf.

COVID-19 has not only introduced us to a new term and a new germ. But it has also taught us to spend some quality time with our family and closed ones.
These streets were always busy.
We used to run after our work, making money, buying stuff, busy in establishing our lives. Now, know if we move a little outside our house, we can risk our lives. Who want that?
I take this quarantine life as a blessing. It has made me worry more about my kids and my family. It has made me worry more in teaching my kids a more healthy lifestyle.
I’m a home maker
It has made me realize, if we forget to cover our sneeze or cough, it’s not OK to be ok. I love the other member of my family equally, who can get effected.
Small, simple things which we forgot, which we used to let go. Now, we take them seriously. Whether it’s family time, homemade food, cleanliness, keeping a separate slipper for going out, never to bring the same slipper inside my house.
My kids and I know it very well. I hope this phase passes by soon and we get back to our routine but keep on spending a healthy lifestyle, and make it a habit.
You know this is the picture of my third event, Alhumdulilaah I was able to gather and meet all these nice people.
Let me tell you, they came here not for work, not to have free food, not to do any promotions.
They were here to establish a community, they are all same, some have big numbers some doesn’t. But their love and passion to meet each other was same.
Isn’t it amazing?
Whenever bloggers meet, it is assumed, that there might be a promotion / collaboration going on.
In my meetups, this is not the case.
I never invite bloggers to come and enjoy free food or come and get those beautiful goodies.
I always invite them and tell them to pay for their food and spend some quality time with all of us.
ALHUMDULILAAH, every time I’m able to meet beautiful people, who not only work good but have got a good heart also.
And I so love to meet such people and connect with them personally.
This way, I am making my community, I want to meet all those bloggers / Influencers who are here around us (my dream).
I want to give them a platform where they can be themselves and not be a Blogger or an Influencer.
I’m sure many people might be doing same thing, of course, even PR agencies are also arranging such events.
But this is what I also want to do on my own, without getting any help from any agency or a event planner.
Hoping to plan my next MEETUP after 2-3 months and insha Allah hoping to meet some more good people.
Till then take very good care and stay tuned.
Love you all and love to share my stories with you.
